  • ✅ Heater Core Leaks – Causes sweet-smelling fumes inside the cabin.

⛽ Fuel System Problems

  • ✅ High-Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) Failure – Found in N54 and N55 engines, leading to misfires and power loss.

  • ✅ Low-Pressure Fuel Pump (LPFP) Failure – Causes poor fuel delivery and stalling.

🛑 Braking & ABS System Issues

  • ✅ ABS/DSC Module Failures – Leads to traction control warnings.
  • ✅ Soft Brake Pedal (E92 & F30 3-Series) – Often due to weak vacuum pumps.
  • ✅ Parking Brake Actuator Failure (F-Series 5 & 7-Series) – Expensive repair if it fails.

🚪 Interior & Body Issues

  • ✅ Window Regulator Failure – Frequent issue causing windows to get stuck.
  • ✅ iDrive System Malfunctions – Can freeze, crash, or lose Bluetooth connectivity.
  • ✅ Comfort Access Door Handle Failure – Fails due to sensor wear over time.
  • ✅ Sunroof Water Leaks – Clogged drains lead to interior water damage.

  • ✅ Catalytic Converter & O2 Sensor Failures – Can trigger check engine lights and emissions issues.
  • ✅ EGR & DPF Clogging (Diesel Models) – Leads to reduced power and efficiency.
  • ✅ Exhaust Flex Pipe & Downpipe Cracks – Common on turbo models.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work on all BMW models?

Yes. We service E-, F- and G-series BMWs including 1 to 8 Series, X models, M models and MINI, covering common engines such as the N20, N26, N52, N54, N55, B46, B48 and B58.

Can you repair BMW electronic modules instead of replacing them?

Often, yes. We repair and program FRM footwell modules, BDC and FEM body modules and DME engine computers, which is usually far cheaper than a new module from the dealer.

How much does an oil change cost at Mechanic Nation?

Oil changes are typically $60 to $110 depending on the vehicle, engine and the oil specification it requires. Every car is different, so we quote all other repairs individually. Call or text 647-702-8019 for an exact price.

Where are you located and what are your hours?

Mechanic Nation is at 76 Sherry Road, Unit H, Scarborough, ON M1L 2J9, serving Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. We are open Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM; closed Sunday.

What warranty do you offer?

New parts we install carry a 1-year parts warranty and our labour carries a 90-day warranty. Used parts are covered for 30 to 90 days as stated on your work order. Electrical parts are excluded, as explained on our warranty page.

Are you a dealership?

No. Mechanic Nation is an independent repair shop that has been in business for over 10 years. We are not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer; we use dealer-level diagnostic tools and OEM or OEM-quality parts, usually at a lower cost than the dealer.

Will servicing my BMW at an independent shop void the warranty?

Generally, no. Having maintenance done at an independent shop does not by itself void your new-vehicle warranty, as long as you follow the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule, use parts and fluids that meet its specifications and keep your invoices. Check your warranty booklet for the exact terms.

Do you service MINI as well as BMW?

Yes. MINI models share many BMW engines, modules and diagnostic procedures, and we service both.
