🔧 BMW N52 Timing & VANOS Work · March 2022

The BMW N52 inline-six uses Valvetronic variable valve lift and double VANOS. When timing-related fault codes, rattles or rough running show up, the valve cover comes off so the timing chain, guides and VANOS components can be inspected and serviced with the correct timing tools. 🔧 BMW N62 V8 Valve Stem Seal Job · January – March 2022

Worn valve stem seals on BMW’s N62 V8 commonly cause blue smoke on start-up and oil consumption. The repair means removing the valve covers and Valvetronic components and replacing the seals with a dedicated valve stem seal tool – the same tool set we rent out through Loan-A-Tool. Frequently Asked Questions

Are these photos from your own shop?

Yes. Every photo on this page was taken in our shop during real repairs. Licence plates and faces are blurred for privacy.

Do you do engine and timing chain work on German cars?

Yes. Engine replacement, timing chain and VANOS work, valve stem seals and oil pump jobs on BMW, Audi, VW and Mercedes engines are regular work for us.

Can you repair a module instead of replacing it?

Often, yes. Modules such as the BMW FRM can frequently be repaired at component level and reprogrammed to the car, which usually costs far less than a new module.
